Catherine Smith

As the chief strategy officer, Smith will focus on identifying and piloting new innovations to bring positive change to child welfare systems; developing national and state strategic plans; implementing business development and marketing strategies for the growth of programs and service offerings; and leading federal and state government relations and policy advocacy.

Smith joined Youth Villages in 2005 as a family specialist in the organization’s Intercept, in-home services, program and transitioned to the business development team when it was formed. She has served as managing director of Youth Villages’ business planning and policy department.

Smith began her college career at the University of Alabama and finished her undergraduate studies at the University of Memphis. She also did postgraduate work at the University of Memphis.
