A look at Youth Villages’ $60M plan to curb gun violence in Memphis
Amid the gun violence epidemic in Memphis, Youth Villages stated it is starting an initiative called Memphis Allies which will work to curb gun violence.
“What we base our model on is three things: identify, connect and serve,” said Carl Davis Jr., the initiative director [of operations].
Youth Villages states the initiative will cost $60 million, of which $5 million has been raised.
