Nicholas Vescovo

As chief of staff, Nic works directly with the CEO and other leaders to advance Youth Villages’ strategic and operational objectives across the organization’s continuum of programs, including Intercept, LifeSet, residential treatment and Memphis Allies. Nic draws on his legal experience to support organizational risk management, legal counseling, policy and regulatory strategy, cross-agency partnerships, and long-term planning, with a particular focus on strengthening services for young people and advancing community-safety efforts through Memphis Allies.

Prior to joining Youth Villages, Nic spent more than a decade in private practice at Lewis Thomason and Baker Donelson, most recently as a shareholder/attorney at Lewis Thomason. As a private attorney, Nic managed intellectual property enforcement matters nationally and globally, as well as complex business litigation involving class actions, injunctions, and arbitrations.

Nic was named to the Memphis Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40 in 2023 and has been named to Mid-South Super Lawyers Rising Stars and Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America™ for his work in Intellectual Property Law and Litigation/Intellectual Property multiple times throughout his career. He is a graduate of the University of Memphis – Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, where he served as president of the Student Bar Association and a notes editor on the University of Memphis Law Review. He lives in Memphis with his wife, Marianna, and their children, Max and Eva.
