Youth Villages Oregon partnered with news station KATU to host a one-day fundraising campaign featuring powerful stories of youth aging out of foster care. It was an amazing opportunity to share and showcase stories of participants in our LifeSet and Independent Living Programs, board members and staff. Onpoint Community Credit Union matched donations up to $5,000 and Vincent Pollard, Financial Wellness Manager, was interviewed. The program, facilitated by Financial Beginnings, helps young people learn financial literacy skills which empowers them to make smart choices when dealing with finances.
