The column describes Youth Villages’ drive to ensure that older foster youth get the intensive, comprehensive help they need to become independent adults in our communities. YVLifeSet is now offered in New York City, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and Seattle through public-private partnerships. The organization announced matching grants for YVLifeSet implementation in Louisiana, Illinois, Los Angeles County and Washington D.C. recently.
“This issue is about more than one organization or one model. It is about demonstrating a standard of care, showing that we collectively, as a country, can move the needle on outcomes for this very disadvantaged population.”
