Thank you for making Holiday Heroes New England a huge success!
As we reflect on this holiday season, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible outpouring of support from our community during our Holiday Heroes campaign. Thanks to your generosity, we spread joy and brightened the holidays for 1,232 youth in need, surpassing all expectations in the process.
Every year, the number of children and supporters in our campaign grows but this year, the response was overwhelming. When the needs of our young people grew, our donors and supporters answered the call to help. We had 556 wonderful donors, volunteers and corporate partners purchase gifts, donate funds and volunteer their time, allowing us to fulfill each child’s wish lists – that’s more than 5,000 gifts delivered to our Woburn holiday workshop; organized and checked (twice!) by volunteers; transported to our offices; and hand-delivered to families in our programs by their specialists.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed, as every individual played a vital role in making our Holiday Heroes campaign possible. These numbers show just how much can be accomplished when we come together to support the future of these amazing young people.
Aiden, a participant in our Intercept program, and his family struggle with financial instability and weren’t going to receive any presents this year. Aiden uses music as a coping skill and as a way to express himself. Thanks to a generous Holiday Hero, Aiden received his very first beat mixer. When he opened the gift, the impact it had on him was evident immediately. He was stunned and couldn’t wait to set everything up. Since the holidays, Aiden has already created two songs and is working on a third.
