Kentucky LifeSet Bash
Youth Villages Kentucky held a LifeSet Bash for partners and providers to learn more about community-based programs in Kentucky. The LifeSet program is geared toward helping young adults who age out of foster care navigate adulthood successfully. The panel consisted of LifeSet participants and front-line staff who provided insight on how prevention programs work with young adults. Panels like these allow young people with lived experience to have an opportunity to talk about their challenges in foster care and how transition age services can change the trajectory of their lives.
Ali Massengill, regional manager of in-home services, spoke about the broader program and her own experience as a LifeSet participant. Thank you to WAVE 3 News for highlighting this event. A special thank you for the collaboration with the Kentucky Department for Community Based Program and their team highlighting resources for our young people.
