Memphis, Tenn. (June 30, 2025) – Youth Villages today announced the addition of Nicholas “Nic” Vescovo as executive advisor to CEO Patrick Lawler.

Over the past 18 months, Vescovo has served as outside counsel to Youth Villages, providing invaluable guidance on a range of critical issues. In his new role, he will work closely with Lawler and the organization’s leaders, offering strategic counsel on initiatives and operations. He will also lead special projects and continue to apply his extensive legal experience to support the mission and growth of Youth Villages nationwide.

“At Youth Villages, we are proud to have a strong bench of leaders at the top of their respective fields, but with one thing in common – dedication to the children, families and communities we serve,” said Lawler. “With his exceptional business insight, strong legal expertise and deep compassion for our staff and those we serve, Nic will be an excellent addition to our leadership team.”

Vescovo brings more than 15 years of legal and strategic expertise to Youth Villages, having most recently served as a shareholder at Lewis Thomason, P.C., where he led complex intellectual property, business and civil litigation matters. His legal career began at Baker, Donelson, P.C.

Vescovo earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, where he served as notes editor of the Law Review and president of the Student Bar Association. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Memphis.

A native Memphian, Vescovo has been recognized by Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in Intellectual Property Law and Litigation (2021–2025) and the Mid-South Super Lawyers Rising Stars list. In 2023, he was named to the Memphis Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” and is a fellow of the Memphis Bar Foundation.
