Prominent Memphis business and civic leader joins Youth Villages to board

Mike Keeney brings decades of legal and civic leadership to nonprofit
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (Oct. 15, 2025) — Youth Villages today announced the addition of lifelong Memphian, respected attorney and civic leader Mike Keeney to its national board of directors.
Keeney joins the current national board of 15 members, chaired by Mike Bruns, retired founder and president of Comtrak Logistics.
Keeney has practiced law in Memphis since 1993 and previously served as managing shareholder of the Memphis office of the law firm Lewis Thomason. Currently, he is chair of the Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority and serves on the boards of Orgill Inc., Buckman Laboratories and BankTennessee. He is also a member of the Tennessee Sports Wagering Commission, Douglas Henry Tennessee State Museum Commission and the Tennessee Transportation Modernization Board. Keeney serves as chairman of the Chairman’s Circle of the Memphis Chamber of Commerce.
An active community volunteer, Keeney holds leadership roles on several nonprofit boards, including the Dixon Gallery and Gardens and is a trustee of the University of Memphis. He is a graduate of Leadership Tennessee (Class VII) and serves on the executive committee of the Tennessee Business Leadership Council.

Keeney earned his law degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1992 and bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Lambuth College in 1988. He and his wife, Anne Orgill Keeney, reside in Memphis and have two daughters, Irene and Adele.
